The crew's new commission, opened Session 8: Dr. Barbus hires them to find the missing former operatives of his group. Named for the operation's codename, INDIA MOON — a phrase the WW2 Backpack Radio first transmitted a decade earlier in Abigail's apartment.

The Brief (Operation India Moon)

• Locate the group's former operatives, held at a Boston psychiatric facility deeply connected to the group.
• All went missing 28 AUG 2015, at roughly the same moment. Police uninvolved.
• Each had contact with "the book of many titles" (The King in Yellow) before being committed.
• Recover any occult book; report it; do not read it beyond title/author.
• Pay: 10% over the crew's normal fee.

• Known (added Session 8): the facility is the Dorchester House Psychiatric Facility (dir. Richard F. Dallan); the six operatives are named (The Operative Roster); Abigail Wright was a patient there (Samigina testimonial); the ward is a Daribondi building (same architect as the McAllistor Building, so likely its own night floors); the crew now holds a card to the locked third floor. Palmer has begun suffering delusions.
• The crew is inside — and committed (Session 8): using the card at the front door, the party blacked out and woke as their actors, isolated in bare rooms in blue pajamas — patients of the ward. The infiltration became an admission. See The Actor-Character Seam.
• The twist (Session 8): a sat phone from Barbus — an electronics-free vessel of rock, earth, a green leaf and a dung beetle — delivered a kill order: "Agent Executor is out of his depth. Dr. Dallan is the target, and is to be eliminated." The recovery job and the assassination order may be two operations under one codename.
• Hidden: who "Agent Executor" is and who runs the phone; why 28 AUG 2015; whether Barbus works for the group or against it; whether the real goal is rescue, recovery, containment, or removing Dallan; where the confiscated books are; whose room bore the wall verse.
