Analysis

The King in Yellow, As Music

The verse is **Carcosa / *The King in Yellow*** material (Robert W. Chambers) — the same play whose torn page and complete book were recovered from the Box 13 roof in Session 3. Red dawn, dying blue starlight, "all is through" — the imagery of the dead suns over Carcosa.

Abigail Wright was composing from the play — not just exposed to it, but working it into a song. Whatever the play does to readers, she was elaborating on it.
