Virgil Griffith

Virgil U. Griffith, of White Plains, NY — the person of interest named in the NYPD file on the 9 SEP 1955 murder of Eric K. Carter and Ronald Burbach at an unnamed New York City hotel. See Carter and Burbach Records.

Nothing else established. The murder file is a single typewritten page; Griffith is the only name in it.

The Only Lead on Who Skinned Them
Two decorated veterans were found with **their faces carefully removed**, beside **gas masks and shotguns** — the same weapons the crew saw in the night-floors hallway (Session 6). Griffith is the sole named suspect. Whether he is a real 1955 killer, a night-floors figure, or a name the machinery produced (cf. Eric K. Carter, Ronald Burbach, The Phone Nook Names) is unknown.
