Mr. Wild

Encountered in the smoking room of the impossible sub-basement, November 15, 2015. Appeared without explanation. Seemed entirely at ease.

First Contact

Said he was looking for something. Had found whisky. Introduced himself as Mr. Wild after Beckett Blank gave the name Mr. Blank.

Produced a phone book and located Beckett's entry immediately:

"Reputation — damaged. Due to your appearance?"

Stated it is his job to know — and to help fix people's reputations.

Told Beckett: "We will do business later." Then dismissed him back to the party.

The Mirror

While speaking with Mr. Wild, Beckett Blank saw his reflection in the bar mirror. His scar was absent. Mr. Wild appeared to be aware of its significance.

Mythos Connection

Directly parallels Mr. Wilde from Robert W. Chambers' "The Repairer of Reputations" — a sinister figure who maintains a book of names and reputations and operates outside normal society. The rooftop page was torn from the same story. Sterling Horselover had the book.

Assessment
Mr. Wild did not stumble into this building. He is present in the impossible portion of it by design or by nature. His offer to "do business" with Beckett should be treated as a contract offer from something that does not operate on human terms.
