The Microphone

A tiny microphone found sticking out of the rug outside Abigail Wright's door (1A) at the McAllistor Building, Session 4. Police tape was already across the door.

The microphone's cord runs to Thomas Manuel's apartment — Manuel being one of Abigail's two recurring "contacts" and a ground-floor neighbor.

Analysis

• The "several interactions" between Abigail and Thomas Manuel now read very differently. He was surveilling her from the apartment next door.
• A wired mic (not wireless) suggests a fixed, deliberate installation — not a quick job.
• Open: how long was it there? Did the police find it, or leave it? Was Manuel listening for something, or for someone?
