Dr. Friendly

A doctor at the Dorchester House Psychiatric Facility who interviewed Carlton after the crew woke committed (Session 8). Possibly the same "Dr." who healed Palmer for 2 outside the facility; possibly Richard F. Dallan under another face; possibly a name Carlton's delusional mind assigned to whoever was in the room. Unknown.

The Interview — The Counter-Narrative

Carlton told him he was "having an episode." Dr. Friendly answered with a complete inversion of the crew's reality:

They haven't worked with Amy in 10 years.
They have been here, in the facility, with him — i.e. they are long-term patients, and the Box 13 production, the cast, Amy, the whole working life is the delusion.

Two Realities, One of Them a Ward

This is the case's cruelest move stated plainly: **which layer is real?** The crew "know" they are a film crew who crossed a threshold and were imprisoned. Dr. Friendly asserts the mundane-horrible opposite — there is **no show**; they are **mental patients** who share a delusion of being a famous TV crew, and have been **here for a decade.** Note the number: **10 years** is the exact span the campaign jumped (The World Remade) and the show's anniversary. The doctor takes the seam's central fact — the ten-year gap — and re-reads it as **ten years of confinement.**

The anchor (Session 8, cont'd). Pressed further, Dr. Friendly gave a specific last-real memory: the last episode the crew filmed was "the one in the museum" — the Amy Langon Case / The Museum (Episode 7).

Reality "Stopped" After the Museum

By the doctor's account, **everything from Session 3 onward is delusion** — Horselover's disappearance, the self-writing scripts, Abigail, the night floors, the **ten-year jump**, all of Boston. He draws the line **right after the museum** — a place that was **itself already impossible** (Amy vanished there, blood that fell with no trail, a statue). The "last real thing" he offers is a **supernatural event**, which either exposes the account as a lie or means the break runs **deeper and earlier** than the crew thought.

He Chose the Broken One

Of the five, Dr. Friendly is working on **Carlton/Palmer** — the member who **already crossed a Sanity threshold** and admits to episodes. The one whose testimony is compromised is the one being told **the show never happened.** Either the doctor is **exploiting a broken man**, or he is telling Carlton a truth his shattered mind can, for the first time, **receive.** The facility's testimonials end the same way: *"everything fits now… a new script for life."*

Open Questions

Is Dr. Friendly a real person, Dallan, or a mask Carlton is painting on the interviewer?
Is the "you've always been a patient" account a lie to break them, a memory implant, or the actual base reality the show was hiding?
Does he give the same account to the other four, separately — and do their stories hold against each other?
